>> joining us now the woman you just saw, katy abram. katy, i know you're not a regular at this stuff and you don't do it every day so take it easy. we're just going to go through some simple questions about this. what got you to senator specter's town hall? what made you want to go? >> um, just for sheer frustration. you know, i see all these things being pushed through very quickly. t.a.r.p., this health care bill, cash for clunkers. and the frustrating thing to me is that this is -- these programs are being funded by me, my husband, our friends, our family. we have a small business, and the amount of taxes we pay out on that, it's ridiculous and yet, they want us to pay more. or it sounds like they want us to pay more. so that's the root of pie frustration. this was the straw that broke the camel's back. >> in the plans that have been discussed so far, the increase in taxation would occur only on families with incomes over $250,000. would that include you and your family? >> honestly, i'd rather not say. i don't even know. my husband

one woman in a blue dress, katie abram, i've seen her 50 times. >> indeed. it's perfect for television. you have the audio, the visuals, the heat and passion. some loops have not been played, kenneth gladny who was at one of these town halls, was beaten up. he has not been splashed on the front pages. he has gotten less attention than professor gates and his arrest at harvard. the context conservatives are concerned about is the context this is supposed to marginalize and characterize the entire opposition to health care plan as being fringe and hysterical. the same treatment is not given to the other side when their folks come out to protest. >> obama keeps repeating this line how tv loves a ruckus. we heard gibbs say the media was disappointed that no one yelled at the president after his first town hall meeting. is there a grain of truth there? >> sure. conflict is more interesting than lack of conflict. when flowers bloom and the sun is shining, it's not necessarily news. so, we are all going to naturally gravitate to -- we, being the media -- naturally

we also had a chance to talk to katie abram.. she went to the -- she lives outside of philadelphia. she went to the arlen specter town hall meeting, she wanted to make her voice be heard. let's listen to what she said. >> did you know at the time when you showed up to ask that question that that was going to be the response from people in the crowd? >> no. i didn't even know that was the question i was going to ask, to be honest with you. >> you talk about this. you said that you're a conservative and a republican but you're not somebody who's really ever into politics. the day-to-day politicking out there. what made you change your mind when you told the senator that you have awakened a sleeping giant? how did that happen? >> you know, over the past couple months i've seen on the news how they were doing the t.a.r.p. package and trying to bail out banks and auto companies and i saw a lot of really reckless things. next thing i see is this health care reform they're bringing through, or nationalized health care. that really was
