katie beck is here with the update on the victims. what do we know about any more people that may be released from the hospital today? >> reporter: well, right now, there is a silver lining for those injured in the shooting. of the 159 transported to area hospitals injured, there are now only seven that remain hospitalized and one in critical condition at this time. so we have seen several discharged over the past 24 hours which is a reassuring sign for the community that is offering a lot of hope going through a lot of grief at this point. as you said, yesterday, we learned more about the 17 lives lost in this terrible tragedy. we know 14 of those lives were of students, three of them of adults. a high school administrator, a beloved coach, a teacher and then the students. we're learning details about these students. how their dreams were interrupted. these were students that had tremendous promise. they were a swim captain headed off to college, an amazing soccer player, someone in rotc, a merit scholar, people that had dreams and w
