pel low, i'm katie marzullo. and now to the cleanup that is underway. jonathan bloom is live at auto row in oakland. >> reporter: it's unusually quiet because a lot of the dealerships and other businesses boarded up windows and sent employees home early. you can see what happened here 24 hours ago. this lot sustained most damage and those businesses are trying to avoid have this happen again with demonstrations planned this afternoon and this evening. we have video from 24 hours ago when this damage was actually being brought to these cars. demonstration that were faceful at first, turned violent after vandals hiding in the mob came out after dark and make this one of oakland's most destructive marches. hardest hit was these dealerships. he hundred -- city workers have been out helping businesses clean up the mess, specially the small family owned businesses that don't have this sort of cleanup in the budget. this morning the mayor and police chief spoke hoping to remind oakland that damage was called by -- >> a very small group of people with rocks in

i'm katie marzullo. we have a live look, san mateo bridge cam. work began late last night and the traffic problems really kicked in today. abc 7 news reporter leslie brinkley joins us live with a look. >> reporter: that's right, katie. with the san mateo bridge closed the traffic converged here on the bay bridge. you add in a giants game you add in mother's day, and it was a torturously slow drive in every direction. this tang belled mess of traffic originated with the shutdown of all lanes on the san mateo bridge friday night. the first time the entire bridge has been resurfaced since 1967. so saturday, people piled onto the bay bridge as their alternate route. whether a day trip to the city a 6:00 giants game it was gridlock. >> i left my house at 3:00 we got here at 5:00. we ate our snacks for the game before we got here. >> a two-hour drive from livermore. >> 24/580 interchange was really bad, like rush hour, worse than rush hour. >> you drive from sacramento, a bad drive? >> not until we got to berkeley. >> and then? >> then the bridge. it t

hello, i'm katie marzullo. the theft happened at reed hill view airport in san jose but the criminals didn't make it far. cornell bernard is live the airport with the latest on this developing story. >> reporter: it's a crazy story. reed hill view is a small airport, usually very quiet, but not overnight when a suspect or suspects tried to ram a stolen jet fuel truck through this fence on the south side of the airport. now, airport workers were preparing that stretch of chain-link fence today which was knocked down by suspects who police say stole the jet fuel truck from the san jose fuel company on the north side of the airport sometime overnight. the truck is now back at the facility, with some engine damage. the suspects did not make it through the fence and ran away. airport workers know why the truck heist might have failed. >> the truck wasn't able to get through the thing. right? >> that or it ran out of gas or he broke the air pump. >> reporter: just a few minutes ago the fuel company confirmed to us of
