i'm katie miller, director of water capital program. i'm here to provide an update on the status of projects in the water enterprise c.i.p. as of end of the 3rd quarter in march 2022. this slide shows the status of the 36 projects in the program with a total budget of $2.7 billion, including 25 regional and 11 local projects. expenditures of the close of the reporting period were 946 million expended with $43 million expended during the quarter. the program achieved 34% completion. this table shows a summary of the program costs forecast by categories for all active projects. all of the variances shown here are from previous quarters. most are related to the lining of the program to align with the fiscal year '23 to '32 that was approved in february. there were no new cost variances during the 3rd quarter. this pie chart shows the total current approved budget for the 25 regional projects, in each phase of the program as of marc. the number of projects currently active in each phase is shown in parenthesis. 10 out of 25 projects are in

anderson and i'm sf puc project manager for the mountain total improvement project and i have with me katie millerwho is the director of the water capital program and she mayhave been here before on a couple other occasions . did we have a slide presentation? you can go ahead and go to the next slide .the resolution before you today would authorize the general manager of the sf puc to execute amendment number one of contract cs 249 for a total not to exceed amount of 28,780,000 and a total agreement duration of 13 years to provide specialized engineering services for themountain total improvement project . this amendment increases the contract amount by $7,780,000 and thecontract duration by three years . this amendment will continue to provide necessary funding for engineering support during construction to complete the construction phaseand for project closeout for the mountain total improvements project . i believe it would be beneficial if i could give you a quick overview of the project so we can understand what we're doing up there in the country. this slide here is an overview of the region

i'm katie miller, director of water capital programs. the hetchy capital improvement program project made great progress in the third quarter. during the shutdown, a new generator step up transformer was installed at the moccasin power house. this transformer is now in successful operation. also during the quarter, the first of many future new valves was installed along the san joaquin pipeline as part of the san joaquin pipeline valve and safe entry projects. i hope you will join me in extending congratulations to the operation staff from water enterprise, who operated the bay area water treatment plants to supply water to the entire regional system during this time. for the very effective shutdown planning and communications that went into sustaining the shutdown for over two months. this was a critical test that will allow shutdowns of the system over the next five years to complete construction of these hetch hetchy projects. today, i have a treat for you. instead of my usual summary of the quarterly report, i will share a video that
