let's go live to katie nielsen in santa clara home of the 49ers. katie. >> reporter: late last night a of a tentative agreement between the nfl and the players coalition for the league and team owners to donate almost $100 million over the next 7 years for community activism. that money would go toward organizations supporting blacks and social justice causes. at the direction of the players coalition. team owners hope it could be the olive branch that helps ease tensions with players and end the national anthem protest. but 49ers safety eric reid says he wouldn't be part of the players coalition anymore because of the talks with the league. >> being pragmatic about it, i'm happy that we can use this opportunity to further the conversation. >> reporter: team owners still have to vote to approve the tentative agreement that could happen either in december or march. now, there's no language in that agreement that requires players to stand for the anthem. but some owners say if the protests continue, they will play the national anthem first, then bring
