katie pavlich, i go to you first. what do you think?> i think we always have to take special elections with a grain of salt. however, i understand the spin that is coming from the rnc. they keep arguing that conor lamb ran essentially as a republican. that may be true. however i do think that the rnc and republicans have to be worried about the number of seats that are being retired in districts that hillary clinton won because those are very easy seats for democrats to pick up. i think that they do have to be worried about it and make sure they have good candidates. to bury your head in the sand and say it's no problem -- kennedy: and you have to pick the good candidates before they run. because when you get in the race and you realize that the party, the party's opponent is coming up right nipping on your heel. >> it's true. for me the most troubling thing about this for republicans is that it does seem to indicate that donald trump -- you know, when he's on the ticket, he pulls people across the line. he has the capacity to do that.
