katy tang, you too, all of you. there is only one of you who is on for support for the most vulnerable people. low income and very low income that people have in housing. the only ones out there who have demonstrated and backing that is -- all of you, you have a press conference and try to price fix and brainwash the community and claim that the new low income is $125,000 a year. and you have the nerve to talk about your board of supervisors. you are bigots. discriminating against low income bracket people. you have a housing opportunity at mission rock where says 15%, build 1,500 apartment complexes for low income bracket people and you deliberately priced fixed and made the lowest income at a range higher than the low income bracket and very low income bracket. people can't afford it. that is fraud. that means 225 of those apartments is supposed to be for low income bracket people. used a hispanic female and her child as a pitch person on the commercial four years to make it appear that she could afford to live in

the project sponsor had received 24 letters in support including from district 4 katy tang and mark berman, assembly member. it has provided documentation of the immediate area and san francisco residents, approximately 75 is aing signatures and contact info was provided. one letter in opposition was received. the concerns with loss of dwelling unit. it is owned by the childcare facility operators and the home is vacant. it's been vacant two years and review found no evictions. the project complies with planning code section 317 and recommends approval of conditions and believes the project is necessary and desirable for the following reasons. the project is found to be consistent with policies with the general plan and meets applicable areas of the planning code. it will convert into a childcare facility and provide a service that's in need in the immediate neighborhood and the city. the proposed project will not displace existing tenants or removed rent-controlled or affordable housing from the city's housing stock. this concludes staff's presentation. i'm available for any questions. >>

my question is about outreach to the supervisor for the neighborhood, katy tang, and reach to the neighbors. i believe there was a plan to do educator housing around dianne feinstein school, but the neighbors were not very happy with that proposal, and it really created a lot of challenges and it was not eventually built. so i'd like to make sure that we have a plan for outreach to neighbors and that we bring people into the project and we don't anticipate any problems in that regard. >> so outreach to the community has definitely been integral to the process. and we coordinated closely with the supervisor's office during that. so before we held the first mid pen open house, the supervisor organized a coffee hour that was held on site at what is now play land, the temporary space there. and we had a number of people, like 50 people come to that. we've also been meeting with neighborhood groups we've identified throughout the neighborhood separately from our meetings. and listening to their ideas and suggestions and ensuring we're paying attention to ideas that are coming out of the communit

rice has been speaking with you at hearing about the plastic reduction ordinance that supervisor katy tang's office has been working on with the department of the environment, so i wanted to give you a brief update that that did pass at the board of supervisors on july 31 and it's been referred to the mayor's office for signature to make it go into effect. dylan and i -- especially dylan -- was project managing on this legislation representing our constituents and did a fantastic job. because of his work, we co-hosted a round table with outdoor event producers at the department of the environment that was very productive and, you know, we -- from that engagement with outdoor event producers, we were successfully able to convince the department of the environment and supervisor tang's office to amend parts of the legislation and we were able to push back the operative start date to january 1, 2020, instead of july 1, 2019, because we wanted to be sure this wasn't happening in the middle of festival season. we know it's a busy time for event producers, and we were able to put the responsibilit
