ktvu katie utehs talked to investigators. she is back now with more details on what happened in this continuing investigation. >> reporter: this is an absolutely notorious intersection. the man in the wheelchair was traveling east on market. so toward downtown. you step out of the way you can see how busy this intersection is. the driver was coming down octavia toward the 101 onramp when he struck the man crossing into the crosswalk. as we move over you can see some of the debris still in the roadway. along with those orange paint markings that mark where that wheelchair landed. let me show you video of the scene as san francisco police department photographed the wreckage. the man crossing in the wheelchair died at the hospital shortly after the midnight collision. it took several officers to load his custom wheelchair into a police truck. but they have not released any detills about the victim. the driver of the car involved in the crash stayed on scene. he did not want to be interviewed. and police are not releasing any de
