katy? >> how easy is it, gadi, for parents to reunite with their kids if they are deported and their kids are still in america? >> reporter: well, it depends. some of them are given a nobody number that they can call, which is very easy to do in the united state states. when you get to guatemala, it's a little bit different. there are phone booths here where they can try to use -- you know, they've got cell phone service, they can buy calling cards, but they have to navigate a very complex phone system. and many of them, especially the ones in the highland areas of guatemala and the rural areas, they don't have access to the internet, they don't have access to phones. and many of them don't necessarily speak spanish that well, let alone english. a lot of the dialects that are spoken here are mayan dialects. the same can be said in parts of mexico, el salvador, they have their same issues. but what they're doing is they're basically coming here and then they try to find their way back home.
