commission will hear and discussion an update on the 22-23 office of small business budget of director katie tang of the office of small business will present today. >> thank you. >> so we will have slides and i will give a moment to have them come up before i begin. >> so. congratulations to the legacy businesses. i wanted provide a brief update before our budget process at the board of supervisors. if we can go to the next slide. >> for a baptist background -- asked or instructed from the mayor's budget office is one prioritizing restoring san francisco recovery account at and equity the policy priorities. also getting back to basics and improving core service delivery in our budget. and this year good news, no reductions. but there is no increased to general fund support. >> so in terms of time lines i wanted share with you -- we are in the phase now where we are close it having the mayor announce by june first the proposed balanced budget to the board of supervisors. in around 2 week in june, the latter half, the board will hold budget hearings at committee to consider the mayor's budget prop

i want to say that home sf was an effort for former supervisor katie tang was part of that effort buthat was well thought out program. and i know that it's in the works and it's working in the richmond so when we put forward this ballotmeasure , we did not include home sf because we didn't want to try to fix something that's not broken. it's working so i just want to put out there that's the reason why home sf has been part of the ballot measurewhich is a charter amendment . and so that was my reasoning. but hearing what supervisor mandelman had talked about, one is to make sure the expanded scope of what we consider historical properties or potentially historical properties , the ones that may have historical resources and such to actually protect them and not be subject to this whole exemption. renewed exemption. i think that is reasonable. i think that's something that's definitelyinteresting and we can have that conversation . as far as existing housing demolition i would like to learn more about your thoughts there and then see what we can do and i think ultimately we do have to
