katy zachry is live on the scene on church lane in the germantown section of philadelphia. >> reporter: it's a busy morning for firefighters, utility workers and for employees with the city's licenses and inspections department. here is this property on church lane, an old tree i'm told it was very old and was a dead tree, was in really bad shape. the overnight winds, that's the thought here from inspectors, brought it down. this barn that sits in the back of the property off church lane. the barn did not have animals, there are several animals on the property and they are housed in a different outdoor building. but this barn you can see is a total lauls. the wires the tree brought down and falling on the barn there was a fire that resulted. so philadelphia fires came out. they say the smoke was considerable. they were able to put that fire out. peco got on scene and really the amazing thing is the only power that's been affected is power to that exterior building, that barn that you now see is in just shards and pieces. we're talking to utility workers and if there's residual power da

katy zachry is live at the 7-11 where this started. what do we know about this? >> reporter: really such a fortunate ending to a story. for an hour investigators did not know what was going to happen. one of their big concerns was the frigid temperatures overnight and this morning because this little boy who was missing suffers from asthma. they were worried that whoever stole the vehicle with the boy inside might just leave him out in the cold. fortunately, though, that did not happen. here is the little boy as the police officer carried him back to his parents. two rookie officers found the missing car about two miles away from the 7-11 at bridge and oxford. it was just after 2:00 this morning when police say they got a call from the boy's stepfather he had gone into the store and theft car running outside with his 6-year-old step-son sleeping inside. whoever stole the vehicle decided to leave it on the side of the road at church and leaper street about two miles away from this scene with the boy inside unharmed and still sleeping. >> we're going to print that
