look who's here, jason katz, managing director at ubs. election week rally? >> stuart, we are making lemonade out of perceived lemons. i mean, we've been talking about since this summer, you and i, the importance of this senatorial election. so very simply put, no divided government equals no onerous taxes, no draconian regulations. that, in a nutshell, is why you've seen nearly a 7% rally over the last two days. stuart: and that's the big deal here, divided government is the big deal. but what about the federal reserve? jerome powell, he's going to speak today, we believe. what's he going to do, print money therefore? is that what you're expecting? >> i mean, look, federal reserve chairman powell has been, arguably, the most vocal advocate of more fiscal stimulus. so you know you're going to get a dose of that today. he is going to keep rates low for long on the short end. there was a rise in rates heading into the election because we thought we'd get this big blue wave and a $2.2 trillion stimulus package. stimulus is back on the table.

jason katz is with us, ubs managing director. why is the market down this monday morning?e're staring at a lockdown christmas and we don't like it, it'll affect the economy. what say you? >> well, perhaps you and i could compromise since congress can't. i say i meet you in the middle of there. there's definitely concern that with increased covid cases it will lead to more lockdowns, more restrictions and, clearly, that will impede economic growth. so, you know, i definitely think this has been a november to remember. it's the best on record since 1928 for the dow and s&p. so the other side of that, stuart, is that there has to be a little bit of profit taking after a parabolic rise this month. stuart: tell me about what you call big tech enablers, back-end technology companies which facilitate the big name technology guys. explain that and give me some examples, will you? because i know that's the kind of company you like to invest in now. >> sure. so it's time to look at boring technology. the front end of technology, aka the fang stocks, have is taken us to the part. i'm

jason katz is with us. good to see you again. >> morning.k are the two negatives for the market. the number one, the virus second wave is arriving. number two, proseconded election. those are the negatives i see. what see you? >> you're right. this rally, stuart, has been predicated on this vaccine euphoria. with good reason. a friendly fed. powell said as much as week. the fact of the matter is that is weak wave is upon us now. the economic implications of a shutdown would be very far-reaching. and it is our view, that that is unlikely. we somely don't have the political will. so will there be better social distancing? absolutely. will there be mitigation steps put in place and self-imposed lockdowns and will that have an economic impact that is adverse? to some extent it will. but we do believe we'll get some iteration of stimulus to bridge that gap. as far as what is happening in europe with the interest conian lockdowns are unlikely to have here. stuart: the outlook for stocks next year is still pretty positive? >> the backdrop is pretty

jason katz back with us. jason, will you explain this rally to meet?, we had selling exhaustion last week with a 6% decline, so this morning you have a bit of the quiet before the storm. we may not know the results of the election tomorrow, but at least the election will be behind us we have thus said later this week, that's going to reiterate they will be incredibly accommodative and i think people know regardless of the outcome of the election in one way shape or form we will get stimulus. stuart: so, you have stimulus. you have the end of the election in a couple days theoretically, but you also face lockdowns because of the second wave of the virus. isn't that a negative for the market? >> without a doubt, i mean, last week i would argue the vast majority of the selling was a result of people extrapolating what's happening in europe will happen here and even if we don't have the political to occur in the united states at a minimum it's going to impede global growth, so that was a big part of recalibrating earnings estimates for multinational compan
