it starts to drift to the west south of kawai. the end result is some wind. more so than the big island encounter because it was too far to the west southwest of the big island. maybe not a wahoo. the rainfall is a maries 30+ is -- in some areas 30+ is possible. not as bad toward gila, but they had a lot of rain. not on the kona side, but on the hilo side. still some moving through. you can see the core is lifting northward. everything continues to take it straight to the north so it will produce some torrential rain. not only that, but on the west southeast facing beaches there will be some good wave action. for us we have a pattern that is cool, mild, hazy, smoky. 60s, 70s, and 80s. not much between the coast and bay. 3 - 11 degrees below average on the highs. the smoke came down from the mendocino complex and got caught in the west southwesterly direction. that brought it in yesterday. mobley about the same today. debbie better into tonight and tomorrow. the dip in the jet stream brings in that cooler pattern and ramps up the fog. 50s on the temperatures.
