andre about 6000 customers across the city with no electricity right now, including this hilton on kearnytreet in chinatown. you see some of the guests walking out of the doors here. some of them have their luggage with them because this hotel, one of many businesses throughout the city with no power, so that means no running water and no electricity , no elevators. so a lot of the guests we've been talking to look a bit winded and tired when they come out because they've had to walk down several flights of stairs from this high rise hotel to get out this morning, but this is all because of an underground transformer. pgd transformer fire last night. take a look. you can hear the fire sirens and that video it was shot from across the street of clay and carney where this transformer caught part. you can see the bright purple flames shooting out of the manhole cover there. it was around nine o'clock when this happened, the power has been out for about 6000 customers ever since. and this is what it looked like. just before dawn this morning, the transamerica pyramid, a couple blocks away fro
