. >> let's get right to nbc 10's keith jones who's tracking developments. keith? >> according to bloomberg reports, comcast is walking away away at least planning to walk away from its proposed takeover of time warner and a reporter at cnbc just reported it could happen as soon as tomorrow. it comes during the same week that seven u.s. senators urged the federal communications commission and the u.s. department of justice to block the merger saying it would lead to higher prices for some cable and internet users. and fewer choices. combining the number one and number two u.s. cable companies would have put nearly 30% of tv and more than half of broadway subscribers under one roof. the merger was slated to cost more than $45 billion and the proposal was first announced in february of last year. fen, "bloomberg" reports comcast is planning to walk away from its proposed takeover of time warner. cnbc reports it could happen as soon as tomorrow. we have calls into comcast but have not heard back. comcast is the parent company of nbc 10. we'll stay on top of this story

keith jones just arrived on the scene. what can you tell us? >> reporter: police are still investigating why the out of control driver hit the four children on the road. a tow truck has dragged it away. what you can't see are the children's toys. a basketball and a car stacked up alongside the road. you can see the mangled bike under the back end. neighbors say a 4-year-old and 8-year-old were inside being pulled by a 14-year-old on the bike. all three were struck here along with a 9-year-old playing in the street. the children's toys littered the neighborhood. the driver stayed on scene and was taken away in a police car. i talked to several people what they do tell me and they assure any, that the kids suffered non-life threatening injuries. >>> we have more breaking news in philadelphia germantown. two police officers were hit. car ran a stop sign and slammed into the police cruiser just before 9:00 tonight. one officer cut his forehead. the other has knee pain. medics took both officers to the hospital to be checked out. >>> crews are still
