keith jones is following the latest in our breaking news center. >> five are dead, eight others are wounded. the suspected gunman is in custody. we've been watching the video coming in showing people running from the terminals and parking decks of ft. lauderdale's airport. witnesses say the gunman started firing without saying anything. that was before 1:00 this afternoon. they say he reloaded at least twice. when he was out of ammunition he laid down and waited to be arrested. people were seen running across the tarmac. police had their guns drawn. this is happening at ft. lauderdale hollywood international airport, about three miles southwest of downtown ft. lauderdale. the shooting took place at baggage claim inside terminal 2. multiple law enforcement sources verify the shooter as esteban santiago e. he's 26. he was born in new jersey but lived in the alaska for a time. multiple sources say he had a military i.d. on him at the time of the arrest. no motive is known as of yet of the attack. we're seeing this video taken by passengers inside the airport where the shooting took place. you

i'm keith jones. nbc 10's brendan hudson is live in manayunk. what can you tell us? >> reporter: we saw lock smiths changing the locks on the door of this consignment shop and the store next door. an armed man walked into the store, tied up an employee and customer and stole $10,000 of merchandise with another robber. our camera saw police inside, the designer consignment, on the 4300 block of a busy main street in manayunk. investigators were looking for evidence and talking to witnesses. moments after the man wearing dark clothes and glasses walked inside the store, he pointed a silver gun at a 32-year-old employee. he zip tide her and a 65-year-old. and put them in a dressing room. the suspect turned the lights off and two other people came in, they stole coats, jackets, boots, purse, and 200 cash. >> traumatic for the woman and the male to be bound by the wrists and ankles with a gun. fortunately, no injuries to either of them, but both good witnesses and there are cameras inside and outside. >> this say largely busy area of manayunk, especially at the time of th

good evening i'm keith jones. >> i'm erin coleman. it was rainy and gray all day long and tomorrow looks even worse. >> new year's eve great conditions now we're starting this work week off with very wet conditions we saw it all day long, gray, and that's going to be round two for us tomorrow for those of you that didn't have to go to work today. early this morning we're talking 3 or 4:00 a.m., we saw -- the rain is moving from west to east. and still some light to moderate rain falling there. elsewhere drying out but still gray and foggy in spots and still very wet out there. that moisture not going to dissipate because we have so much in the area that we're going to tap into tomorrow. pull this out and you can see where it's coming from. look down to the southwest of us, all this moisture is heading our direction, so round two should kick off as we go into tomorrow morning and last right into the afternoon. in fact, we may see some heavier rain by tomorrow than what we saw today. here's a look at the temperatures where they sit righ

. >> i'm keith jones.irst alert weather team is tracking the rain and how much it will stick around in your neighborhood. let's get the latest from krystal klei. >> a rain boots kind of day because we see the showers move in and out, which is what we were expecting to happen. now we're starting to see some of the more heavy to moderate rain move in with this next batch of steady showers that we're tracking. let's look a little more closely at spots that are coming down more heavy. montgomery, bucks county and lehigh valley we're tracking those spots of yellows. that indicates the heavier showers that are dropping down. right near norristown, pottstown tracking some of that activity. it will continue tracking along to the east. this may pass into mercer county and clip philadelphia as well as it continues to track along. now drop down south. the same thing in delaware, not the oranges but the deeper greens which indicates more steady and complete coverage kind of rain that will move into south jersey as it

i'm keith jones. >> i'm erin coleman. jeremiah monell is accused of murdering his estranged wife in cumberland county. tonight nbc 10 has also obtained the 911 calls from her home. >> south jersey bureau reporter cydney long has been following this case from the very start. she joins us from the spot where monell was captured. >> reporter: keith and erin, to give you some perspective we're situated between williamstown and hamilton. state troopers tell me it was right here in these woods that monell was arrested yesterday afternoon without incident from the thick of the woods. he will face a cumberland county judge tomorrow. with a clean shave and with help to avoid police for two weeks sources close to the capture of 32-year-old jeremiah monell confirm he was in the woods arrested near a tent. tara o'shea-watson's best friend is relieved. >> i'm grateful he's alive. because honestly, death would have been too easy for him. he needs to pay for what he did. >> monell is charged with killing his estranged wife inside her co
