until a group of nuns walked by him and were able to get him the help he desperately needed. 7's kelly ohara has more on the story. >> you can call it devine intervention, saturday afternoon no one was there to help. someone was watching out for him. >> he was cutting some wood, and the tree had actually fell on him. it was a large enough tree that he couldn't move. starting to get dark. i don't know how long he would have been there. >> the situation for the 74-year-old grew more dire as the clock ticked on and the temperatures started to drop. firefighters say the man had been lying on the graund for two hours calling, yelling for help when suddenly someone did hear him. >> the nuns found him after hearing the calls for help. they went out and investigated. >> sisters from mount st. mary's abby walking in the woods before prayer heard the 74-year-old's pleas and rushed to help. not able to lift the tree themselves, they called 911 and led rescuers to the man where he was freed and flown to the hospital. firefighters say if it wasn't for these women, he may not have made it through the nigh
