kelly: i thank you. i rise in support of my resolution h.res. 1867 which would establish a task force on the attempted assassination of former president donald j. trump. i want to recognize and honor the life of a true hero, corey comperatore, who was tragically killed saving his family in butler, pennsylvania, july 13th. i want to take a moment to offer our thoughts and prayers for two pennsylvaniaians who also were injured in the shooting and continue to recover, mr. david dutch and james copenhaver and also former president trump in his recovery and he showed incredible strength in the immediate aftermath. corey comperatore was a constituent of mine. he graduated in 1992 from free port high school and went on to serve his country in the united states army reserves. his passion for his community and christian faith led him to serve as an active member of the cab out church and a volunteer chief in the early 2000's and he was a loving husband and father. his obituary reads the quintessential family man
