kelly is now. he's in his seventies and artistic commissions sculptures as public monuments becoming fewer. the depression didn't help, but no one wanted to hire an artist or commission work from kelly not knowing he was going to survive. if you know it was, he'd be able to see the project through. so commissions got fewer and fewer. he began his began to sell and he was penniless. his his doctor doctor henry rider was a supporting him and kelly had married late life no children, but his wife predeceased. he had no descendants. and so he gave his entire collection to his doctor. and this is including know sculpture, paintings and those valuable notes were literally just boxed up. kelly did attempt to have memoirs, write his memoirs towards the end of his life, writing about growing up in new york city and know he lived manhattan when it had farmland and he lived long enough to see the state building completed. so his history of new york is one of the working titles he had for his book was in the pr

i know kelly believes that. i think one interesting things that i learned through this due diligence we did in this process was she told me i grew up on a family farm in southern illinois. when they tried to my brother still calls me on advice on how to fix it. she told me that i learned about she said i knew more about commodity pricing in the future is that i did about math when i was a child because my mother would write this down on the kitchen table napkin everyday from a debt and my granddad to see when they came in for lunch and that's what interested her in about working for the market. when you talk about living the american dream, that is what she's been doing through the private sector and the family roots that she has come and those are those are the values and qualities that she will represent in the u.s. senate. here's nbc's kelly cobiella. investigators will be combing the wreckage for clues asas to why the azerbaijan airlines flight went down in kazakhstan early today, on the coast of the caspian sea. authorities in azerbaijan, russia and kazakhstan have all opened criminal investigations into the crash. dramatic video appears to show the embraer 190 trying to make an emergency landing, then bursting into flames and breaking apart. a large part of the fuselage remained intact. video posted by a russian state news agency appears to show some of the passengers seemingly able to walk away after the impact. the airline said 67 people were on board, including the five crew members. all are from central asia and russia. aording to those sources, the plane was en route from the capital of azerbaijan, baku to grozny, chechnya, which is in southern russia. the russian aviation authority says it appears the pilots tried to make an emergency landing after a bird strike. russian state media also said that flight had been diverted

kelly: on the technicals market it is quite strong.veraged loans have seen 21 billion in inflows on that asset class and on the bond side it's 19 plus billion. within loans as well you have seen a tremendous amount of cielo activity boosting demand for that market as it makes up two thirds of the overall demand front. bonds again, you just have a lot of yield hungry investors. in allocating assets within the markets, that's also just about relative value. why would bonds stand out versus other asset classes and this rate environment? we are on a super short duration of three years in total at historically low levels. this structural component of the market has let high-yield produce twice the amount of excess returns as a longer duration asset class for the last seven quarters. again, it's about what high-yield can offer over other asset classes. for the investors who are more cautious and defensive, we need to look at things like the equity market where the downdraft high-yield outperforms the more challenging scenarios. sonali: one r

welcome. >> thanks, kelly. be the kind of company that every time he turns around, something else happens. washing machines, appliances, this started with the obama administration doing tariffs. here we are, they have to complete in the global markets. why do you think this is now a stock that is poised to shine? >> to address your confusion, we mentioned earlier this year that this stock has never been a great stock over a long period of time, but if you catch the cycle right, the moves can be really powerful, and they are operating now, after two years of declines similar to 2008 and 2009 in appliance units. they are operating at 75% of capacity in their plants, which are largely domestic and vertically domestic, meaning you won't really see supply chain issues with components, so next year, interest rates have come down. perhaps, not as fast as some of us have hoped for. maybe there will be fewer cuts next year, but typically, in a cycle where we are seeing interest rates falling, demand in these categories

kelly what are your thoughts. yeah, i love all those and i you one thing i hope readers of my book get out is a sort of recognition of what games they're taking part in, whether consciously or unconsciously. and maybe playing it better just for your own. like we can't necessarily get out of some of these we're trapped in. but just kind of like recognize what the rules are and not not play the wrong game, get played kind of and also, i think for a lot of it, it is it is kind of disengaging and just stepping away from the technology. like what? you know, if you're a kind of getting feeling addicted to a particular technology like how does that how does it actually feel? how is it adding to your life is it worth it and stepping away from from the the the games that sort of feel like they're controlling you? trevor yeah, i think i think this is a collective problem that's not going to be solved at the scale of me deciding to not use facebook or whatever it is but. there's. you know i would be really interested in hear
