he was on cnbc the other day and asked by kelly evans, kelly showed a clipboard, she says the stock isown 40%. and how do you think about your stock. he says i don't think about it at all. what i think about is building instrin sick value per share. if i do that everything else will be fine. i think that's right. to get to your point about zika virus. they bought oxitech has a agage modified mosquito. the male mosquito is modified so when it mates with the female mosquito the larvae are sterile or they will die. what they've shown in various tests in costa rica or brazil they can reduce the mosquito population in 60% to 80%. not just mosquitos but any type of insect borne disease for crops they can genetically modify it. when the w.h.o. declared the zika virus a world health problem, that means exactly nothing to intrexon in terms of the actual fundamentals. it's years before the zika virus and the mosquito made a dent. what it means, though, is it gives an impetus to the regulator change around synthetic biology and genetic modified stuff which is what intrexon does. >> when you got i

i'm kelly evans, let's begin with how we're finishing out the session.ng out with a decline of 59 points but by far the under performer today and s&p was down about three points and nasdaq for its part managed to hang on to a small gain of eight points. we mentioned a couple of other aspects to the rally today, not just the nasdaq but transports higher by 35 points, the russell higher by 5 points and dollar was a little higher. crude oil was lower on the session and so too was the dow and s&p ultimately. joining today's panel, mike santoli is back with us along with evan newmark and "fast money trader guy adami, any reason we went from a nice open here to a much weaker close today? >> the dow up almost 100 at its highs in the morning, crude oil gave up its gains, i do think that below the surface it was okay. two days are better than expected economic data, across the board has been a mini theme and the bond like stocks utility staples did get hit today. it seemed like trimming around the edges because we are at the upper range we've been in for the past

evans, channel 7 "eyewitness news." >> thank you, dave. >>> continuing the breaking news right now, joining us right now, former nypd commissioner ray kelly. what is set into motion the minute the gun is pointed at nypd's finest, and a gun is fired, what happens? >> you mean when an officer struck? >> yes. >> obviously, a wave goes through the department. we want to make sure that officers get the best possible medical treatment. here they've been brought to kings county hospital, which is a trauma center, probably one of the best in the world with dealing with gunshots. the executive core of the department is notified, commissioner and chief of the department and two of the the chief surgeon is amazing. he's usually first on the scene in terms of department executives, and he's very skilled. so we want to make isern that he's involved in any way he can be to make certain that the officers are getting the best possible treatment. you have to be concerned about notifying next of kin before identifying where the officer lives. if possible, you want the officer who's struck to make the phone call, the initial phone call so that his loved one
