i'm told that our colleague kelly o'donnell is standing by at walter reed. kelly o? >> reporter: good afternoon. we're here along the route where we've seen a greater presence of passersby. there's media here. during the time marine one was landing here, the street was called off to any traffic that would be typical whenever the president is approaching. and many were able to watch as marine one landed just behind us here. and then another group of our colleagues who are a part of the white house pool. on the inside of the walter reed national medical center grounds, able to capture images and be witnesses to seeing the president land, disembark the chopper, get into the motorcade and go into the hospital. so that's the mix with the relief video without journalistic involvement. and then allow the pool to witness it. for to us receive the president on this end in terms of covering it, capturing it. we're able to be independently assessing, how does the president look, what are the movements, the issues around how he's being brought here. so that's sort of the balance
