kelly o'grady, you've got wages up four-tenths of a percent for a month, up 4.4% annual yulized.187,000 jobs versus the estimate of 200,000, and you've got a little difference in terms of where the jobs are and were this month as opposed to the month earlier. >> that's right. and, you know, i think that this balance, you know, we see the wage growth, we see the jobs not as good as expected, so so you're seeing one good thing from the labor market, but one bad thing and that's something that the fed really does have to balance as they're thinking about that next increase. the one thing i want to triangulate this against is the job quits number we got earlier this week. that declined sharply, 2955,000. and so that -- 295,000. that, for some context, tells you people want to stay put. okay, i don't want to necessarily go out and find a job, so you see this number that was revised down last month, and we're seeing a lower hand expected number this month i think is going to underscore that lack of confidence for people. and certainly maybe the economic policy will become more and more

we have fox business's kelly o'grady here with a preview, kelly. >> reporter: call me a nerd, charlese big tech earnings tonight, job report tomorrow, like christmas morning early. let's jump into it. this is the most important data we get every month. tomorrow's release is taking on a even larger role because the debate where our economy is going is getting more intense. making tomorrow's report more mysterious is a monster beat on the adp jobs number. that led goldman sachs to reiterate, 250,000 plus against an overall consensus of 200,000. let's have some fun. i want to do a little bit of a scorecard here, give you context on the other employment trends going into tomorrow's release. adp speaks for itself, right? that 324,000 number, it was down from the june report of 455,000. initial jobless claims that came 227,000, that was right in line. hints at a firm labor market. continuing claims, 1.7 million, not a lot of fluctuation there. that suggests that workers are continuing to find new jobs and job openings, that did edge a little lower but at 9.6 that is pretty roy bust. now for
