it's sunday, the viewer 16th and i am kelsi thorud. zoe mintz our meteorologist is here to start us off and you say rain potentially. >> tracking rain and north bay communities are currently dealing with the rain. for rain today but not nearly as strong as the system we saw thursday. thursdays system with the strong winds and flooding and the really gloomy conditions. today is not going to be like that. i want to take a step back and show you are what we have seen. this is from the first to the 15th of the month, february, over nine inches nearly 10 inches of rain in santa rosa. well over a foot of rainfall in healdsburg and even in san francisco we saw half a foot of rain just in the first 15 days of the month and that puts us at our third wettest start to february on record. right now, we are going to be adding to some of those totals . north bay communities we are currently tracking some rain. this rain is really not going to be anything too impactful and it is only the, far north bay communities looking at areas in darker and deepe

i'm kelsi thorud in for max darrow. of course joined by our meteorologist zoe mintz. what can people expect today and tomorrow? >> great news. mother nature, i think she has some -- like positivity for us. >> i love the sunshine. >> feels bad for all the rain that we've gotten in. she's like you know what? they need to soak up some sunshine. today is the day. how much rain we saw with the past storm system with wednesday and thursday's activity over a half of a foot of rain for parts o the santa cruz mountains. some of our north bay communities saw over 4, maybe 4.35 inches kind of depending on where you were located but it was definitely a southern half of the bay area system that really got in on the activity. over 2 inches for us here in san francisco. for an inch and a half for san jose. and again that's really great news for the santa clara valley communities that haven't gotten in on the activity from the past atmospheric rivers. today though, again it is quiet and it is calm and it is cold out there. it is literally freezing in petaluma right now at 32 degrees.

kelsi thorud is live at the moscone center, getting a taste of the fan experience. how's it going so far? >> reporter: hey, ryan. it's really fun down here. there are a ton of things to do. we're at the nba experience and you can see behind me we're at one of the courts here. they have a ton of courts. this one is featuring some of the young fans out here, enjoying some time on the court, but this is the time, before the big game this weekend, where people can come out and really experience what it is like to be an nba star and also to meet some of the nba stars. so there's all these different kind of pop-ups throughout the center here where people can, you know, create their own little playing card. they can take a shot, see how good they are, maybe compared to steph curry and some of the other players. they also get to meet some of their idols. i was walking around earlier and we saw a ton of the all-stars out here greeting fans. we also saw a bunch of the nba players as well as wnba players doing interviews. so it's a really fun immersive experience for fans. we

kelsi thorud is here with a look at a few of those spots. and kelsi, things were a mess. even close to the station in san francisco, messy out there today. >> we were out for hours before coming back to the studio, and it was a mess. there was actually a fallen tree that jammed traffic in san francisco's golden gate park. now, citizen app video shows the tree blocked three lanes of traffic earlier on crossover drive. that is already a pretty slow going spot to begin with. no word yet, though, on any injuries with that tree fall. now, also in san francisco, one outdoor dining area completely crushed. a parklet on union street between laguna and buchanan was destroyed by another tree. up in santa rosa, severe flooding forced people at the sutter north bay health plaza to evacuate patients. a total of five people, some in wheelchairs, had to be moved out. firefighters brought in a paratransit van to get them to safety. workers at the health center say flooding has been a repeat issue there, so they've had to get creative at times to deal with the rising water. >> these are o
