that is where brian kemp stands on abortion. opponent is stacey abrams. she not only supports abortion rights, she's also planning to pass legislation to protect women's rights and abortion, if she becomes the next governor of georgia. those are the very real stakes, very real consequences in post roe america. stacey abrams joins me now. i'm wondering if you can start with, just an explanation of where things stand in your state right now for women, and their reproductive health care. >> right now, women are in extreme danger. georgia governor brian kemp placed a law in 2019, that eliminates isis to the right to the abortion after six weeks. most women don't know their pregnant before six weeks. and when exasperates this crisis is that 82 of the 159 counties, so of half of the state does not have an ob/gyn, 18 counties don't have a general family doctor. nine counties have no physicians at all. we refused to expand medicaid, we have the second highest maternal mortality rate in the nation. so, pregnant women die more in georgia.

they'll ask governor kemp to provide context, but the data speaks for itself. so this is going to be a really comprehensive way of making sure they understand how all of the pieces fit together. and for them to create a compelling story for indictment. >> in that reporting by "the times," jennifer, there is a big section on racketeering. because the d.a. told "the times" that racketeering charges could be in play. and then "the times" went to look at her history of prosecution, and she's had a lot of past success in prosecuting high profile folks on racketeering charges. what do you make of that as a potential charge for former president trump? and what would it take to prove? >> i think racketeering is interesting, because in states, it can be much more expansive and easier to charge than it is federally. federally, there's no way racketeering could be charged here. it's just too limited, but in georgia, you can use many more underlying predicate acts to prove a racketeering enterprise, and she's done that throughout her career. so i expect that these reporter

kemp, a republican, declined to do either of those things.mony, he's one of the high profile people to do this testimony, the reason he's doing it via video, prosecutors said he understood he's the sitting governor of the state and trying to reach the accommodation with him, but he's one of several high profile people that will have evidence presented before the grand jury. >> how valuable is his testimony? >> potentially very valuable. we understand at this point that the nature of that call that trump made to governor kemp was to get him to try to call the special session of the state legislature here in georgia which the governor is authorized to do. kemp apparently pushed back on that, so to find out exactly what was said during that call, how hard was trump pushing for this could certainly show evidence of his intent to interfere with the election results here in georgia. so i think what was actually said during that call is critical, and it was not recorded and played like the call with the secretary of state, so his testimony is very i
