allen county is under arrest, accused of kidnapping female passengers. joe vasquez is live in berkeley with more on the story tonight, joe? >> hi ken, we are talking about two separate incidents. in the first, at 5:30 in the morning, on may 2, a woman says she summoned and uber with her cell phone but the driver refused to take her where she wanted to go. >>> berkeley police say the driver gabriel amari took his fair, a woman in the 20s, told her he would take her to his room before he took her to work. police say he prevented her from using her phone and refused to let her get out of the car. as they reach this intersection, the victim decided she had to act quickly. she opened the door and jumped out of the car as it was still moving. at that point, police say, the driver sped his car up to try to keep her inside. she managed to escape and ran to the chevron for help. >> she was very scared. all she wanted to do was hide. >> reporter: the chevron manager told me tonight he let the victim shelter inside. her knees and hands were very scraped up and she was very upset. >> she said somebody chasing me a set of go ahead and sit down.
