these pictures came and from ken martin who were out in the mountains. these are just stunning. talking a great deal about the ice down from 93% coverage to 74%. on lake michigan will have almost 90 percent of the late coverage. what is interesting is heavy ever driven on an ice road before? there is such a road. you will see it coming up. look at that close-up shot right here. here is that the ice road right there. you can see some cracks. it is interesting because they say as you drive on this you can actually hear the ice cracking. it is enough to support an automobile. beautiful shots. thanks to our photographers. not a very nice day around here. at least it is a little bit warmer. this is the wettest weather system in 15 days. that is the first in a series of active storm systems. in one way or another will impact the area over the next couple of days. this thing produced tornadoes as a cam across northern california. a dozen homes damaged. it is bringing warm air while it is snowing that on the upper midwest. turning the wind around to the northwest. starts moving eastward
