ken pritchett, ktvu news. >>> a home invasion shooting sent a 52-year-old man in the hospital and locked down an elementary school. it happened at around 2:30 this afternoon just outside the santa rosa city limits. the victim was shot inside the home on merced avenue near wright charter elementary school. two men were seen running from the home wearing clothing identifying them as fbi agents. those clothes were later found tossed in a ditch. it's possible the men were trying to steal marijuana. >>> a two alarm fire in vallejo this afternoon may have been caused by squatters. the fire broke out in an abandoned buildings on sacramento street and the highway 37 bridge over. the roof and attic of the building were well involved in flames when they arrived shortly after 4:00. investigators say there is evidence that the fire was started by squatters but there's no official cause just yet. firefighters managed to keep the flames from spreading to businesses next door. >>> an oakland teenager agreed to a plea deal for setting another teen on fire inside an ac transit bus. john sasaki reports on

we get this dropping news from ken pritchett -- developing news from ken pritchett. you learned new information. >> reporter: just a few moments ago we received new information. emergency crews were able to make at this time that crash scene and were able to determine that the pilot of that cal air tanker has died. we do know from witnesses so this is not a huge surprise given what witnesses are saying that they saw a violent impact as that plane went down. it is unclear if the plane was making or attempting an air drop on that fire at the time of the crash. now this an f215 tanker. same type that crash while fighting the dog fire. the plane cart wheeled and crashed near highway 140. a short distance from the town of mariposa county. there were several park employees that saw the plane go down. a tourist from illinois says he saw the plane go into a plume of smoke followed by a loud boom. he says it appeared the plane's wing wobbled or turned up. their emergency personnel were able to reach the debris feel. it was on very steep terrain. and the twin engine plane carr
