>>reporter: maria and ken kenny, this news broke. bart police arrested the man on 9th and broadway about a mile from where we're standing. a mile from where media have been going live showing this man's picture. police describe him as a man in his 30s. we don't have his mug shots but we have pictures taken from surveillance cameras from bart train. they say this man is the suspect that allegedly kicked and punched a victim on august 3rd. this is happened between the bay fair station and sanly andre. they say he hit a victim and this saturday, police say the same suspect was on a san francisco bound train approaching the embarcadero train when the started punching a man. they say he did not steal anything and the attack was unprovoked and the victims do not know the suspect. a couple of hours after releasing the pictures, a oakland fire investigator flagged down a police officer on 9th and broadway where he spotted the suspect. >> this was a great collaborative effort from our media partners and people watching the news and getting a
