i'm kenny choi. a high school hacker is under arrest for allegedly using a teacher's credentials to change the grades of numerous students. jessica flores reports from concord. >> reporter: good morning. that suspect is a sophomore here at ignacio valley high school in concord. we did speak to him late last night after he was arrested wednesday when police searched his home for evidence of the crime. >> open the door! >> reporter: that's police making their arrest wednesday. investigators say the student sent out a phishing email that looked like it was from the school district. that's how the student was allegedly able to trick teachers into inputting their password and with that information police say the student logged into the computer school system and changed the grades of approximately 16 students. now, we did speak to the 16- year-old. he says the school system was easy to hack into. but now he's sorry. >> the up ones were all my friends, um, and the down ones were all the enemies that i real

i'm kenny choi. kpix 5's jessica flores is live in fremont with more on the decision that finally came in just a few hours ago. jessica. >>> reporter: the board voted on that decision at 2:30 a.m. it was a packed house. this issue dividing the community. after 10 hours of meeting, the vote finally came down where the board voted to allow the new curriculum for grades 7 through 9 but voted 3-2 against adopting the new program for grades 4 through 6. elementary school children were not get sex education in the fremont unified school district. the controversial sex education program known as the three r's, rights, respect and responsibility, it was set to be introduced beginning in the fourth grade but the majority of the speakers at last night's meeting spoke out against the curriculum. they said it was too graphic. it teaches about sexual orientation, gender identity, and rape. but the group in support of the new sex education program argues it teaches acceptance because it's lgbtq inclusive. hundreds
