kenny polcari joins me now. kenny, great to see you. i hope you had a wonderful thanksgiving.ant to talk about thanksgiving beginner at your house -- dinner at your house, but my 401(k), i've got to say, i took a peek at it yesterday after i was digesting my meecialtion it looks pretty damn good compared to the way it was a month ago. >> yeah, you know, listen, stocks have gone higher, right? we've seen this big rally in the broad market ever since that october swoon, right? that doesn't necessarily mean you're not going to see stocks pull back again, they certainly will. they'll ebb and flow with with the economy as we learn more about where the fed is really going, have they navigate canned a soft landing or not, are rates going to tick back up to 5% or not? lots of treasury funding coming to the market this month as well as the first quarter of 2024, so there's still a lot to consider. but that doesn't mean that long-term investors need to, you know, suddenly change their plan. they need to have their plan, make sure it's where they're comfortable and then stick to the plan

kenny polcari is with us this morning. all right, kenny.ve got a pretty good rally for the last two weeks and it looks like we'll have a rally into the third week. does this have legs? >> yeah, so listen. i think it's going to end higher today. it seems that they put a lot of the geopolitical stuff at least behind them for now. do i think the rally has legs? i do think we'll rally into the end of the year but we're in a little bit of an overbought position, i think after the action we saw, but look, here is going to be the issue. at 45.30 which is the september high, if we break up and threw that, that only leaves 46.08 which is the 2023 high and the algos for no other reason will take it there to prove they can so i would expect if we go through the 45.30 there's another push by the algos to go higher and then we tap out because we are ahead of ourselves. stuart: okay, i know that you've been buying some stocks on weakness. did you buy apple? >> so, i bought apple. these are all names that i own, so i add to them like you and i had this di

i think you have to be italian and have a few extra vowels not to believe, because kenny polcari is ther one in the camp with me. the market expected a 10% chance of a rate cut in march, now that's up to a 50% chance. may or june, it's an 80% or greater chance that the fed's going to cut rates. e it makes no sense for two reasons. the data. the economy's growing at 5.2% last quarter up from 4.9%, and the labor market is still really strong, wage growth still conning at a 4% clip -- continuing. that's still inflationary. if the fed starts cutting rates, that the reignites inflation -- stuart: inflation's coming down. >> it's coming down. stuart: the rate of is decelerating, and there's talk of some items coming down in price this holiday season. >> finally. but still the fed has been adamant, right? we're going to keep rates higher for longer. is three months longer? i don't think so. that's not long enough. the fed's always told the us what they're going to do, we're going to keep raising rates. the market didn't believe them, fed kept doing it. even richmond fed president thomas bar ki
