i'm kevin corke, i'm fox weather meteorologist ian oliver kevin, it's great to be here with you on fox news. we've been tracking milton the last several hours. just got the new update in from the national hurricane center. this is still a category one storm. it made landfall back at 830. as you mentioned, it's had the whole gamut of hazards early and often through the day. today with what was a record number of tornado warnings issued by the weather service, 100 at one point, right? yeah. multiple confirmed tornadoes. sadly, we know that at least one of those we had multiple confirmed fatalities. yeah, it was really interesting as we were watching all the coverage throughout the day, we noticed that not only was milton a category five, not once, but twice, even though it came ashore as a three. we're talking about sustained winds, i believe, north of 120 miles an hour. yeah. yes it was. and it was doing something in a meteorological sense that was a little bit funky. we're into october. we had this old front that was over florida. it started interacting with the jet stream and its wind
