put it in the sequel department, but this 2017 version stars dwayne "the rock" johnson, who also produced the film, kevind different actors, and here's what i mean by that. so, they're high school students at the beginning of the film, the younger versions, and they find themselves transported into the land of the jumanji video game, where they take on the avatars of the characters they were playing. so, for example, jack black's character is actually a high school teenage girl, but in the world of the jumanji game, she's a grown man played by jack black. it's very, very funny. jack black steals the entire film. every single scene of his is brilliant. the movie has big laughs. it's fun with the crowd. it's solid action, solid intensity, and a lot of fun, in my opinion. i thought some of the scenes were a bit too long, and i thought that some of it was really overdone, but overall i thought they did a really good job paying homage to robin williams' film. i gave this a 3.5 out of 5. definitely worth seeing with the family, a lot of fun. now, listen. kevin mccarthy? where are members of the judiciary committee who understand that this is a dangerous, ignorant view of how american law enforcement works? >> the famous episode when lyndon johnsonff somewhere and he got to the airport and an aide said "your helicopter is over there, sir." and he said "they're all my helicopters, son." that's the way presidents think. in this case it seems to me if you have a unitary view of the presidency then the justice department serves at his pleasure and to carry out his duty to faithfully see the laws are executed. however, my experience in washington is that when you reach a certain critical mass of interest in something that's secret, it's not going to stay secret for very long. the nixon tapes come to mind. it was a long time between when mr. butterfield revealed the existence of the tapes during the urban committee hearings and when they came out, but come out they did. and in this case, if this memo exists and if this memo is so flagrantly an exercise in cherry picking, there's something to be said for letting it out and demonstrating that it was cherry picked and examining the motives of those who did the cherry picking. pat moyniha
