kevin: the family of a man shot and killed by a des moines officer this summer is suing the city. ryan bolinger was shot by officer vanessa miller through her squad car window as he approached her car following a brief car chase. bolinger's family says the officer wasn't justified to use deadly force and had other options to apprehend the 28-year-old man. the family's lawsuit against the city of des moines also says the city provided negligent training and supervision concerning the use of deadly force against an unarmed citizen. an internal review by the des moines police department found officer miller did not violate department policy. new details about a lawsuit filed by former iowa senior associate athletic director jane meyer. meyer filed suit tuesday wage, sexual orientation, and gender discrimination as well as retaliation. at iowa gary barta, the iowa board of regents, and the state of iowa. meyer's attorney says meyer was reassigned positions one week after she delivered a memo to barta about issues surrounding the treatment of female athletes and coaches. stacey: right now the man found , guilty of beating 3 people to
