kevin o'leary, chairman of o'leary funds and star of shark tank is here with us for much of the morning. apple, first of all, is going all out to disprove claims that the iphone 6 plus is prone to bending. a lot of the up roar started after this video showing a guy bending a 6 plus went viral. yesterday apple invited media to its test facility saying the iphone 6 is the most tested product in apple history. the company also reiterating a claim that only 9 customers total complained about those phones bending. looking at this video it does seem there is some pretty rigorous testing that goes on. but give some of these complaints away to social media and we see what happens. >> what happens with this stuff, we are talking a multimillion dollar launch apple does and there are a lot of people and companies with a stake in it not going well. so there are questions even about this original video. it's interesting when he's bending the phone there is a certain time on it. 2:20 something. and when he shows it bent the time is earlier. a lot of people online are raising the question. is the vide

carol roth along with our own kate kelly and kevin o'leary. kevin pulcari will join us in a moment.e to say the price action here doesn't look good generally speaking, kate. we heard financials might be responsible. citizens financial pricing here. what does it tell us about the sentiment? >> i'm glad you mentioned citizens because i heard demand at the stated price is soft. there's enthusiasm about the deal. it seems to be the largest bank ipo since goldman sachs in the late '90s and remarkable but i'm told there's enthusiasm but a matter of getting the price level right. in terms of the rest of the markets, you know, i feel like i'm saying this all year and don't mean to sound like a broken record but a lot of hedge fund investors looking for a significant link in the equities market and feeling it's overzealous and may not be long lasting but getting more volatility and can't maintain the levels. every time there's a downturn, i wonder if that's happening yet. >> right. a lot of those people are getting fired. you know? hedge funds aren't getting the money anymore. >> absolutely.

joining us is julia larosh and kevin o'leary. you've covered icahn's adventures.o you think is different about this one maybe than the past attempts? >> right. we can say it may not have happened without icahn. they talked about ebay spinning out paypal for years now but icahn forced it to happen or pay attention to it and never had a compelling argument to keep paypal and ebay as one company in the first place. >> how much credit should he get here? i talked the people today. some suggesting he was vital obviously in getting this done. others suggesting that he simply kicked down an open door. >> no, i'm going to give carl credit and also going to give the entire activist class of investor lot of credit because what they tend to do is scrape the patina off a stock. they're not politically motivated. they don't care of leadership. they think of them as hired serfs an they want value for themselves and their direction is unified and focused so giving them a lot of credit. i'll note here that ebay spent millions of dollars fighting carl as an activist wasted shareho
