my name is kevin truitt, i am the chief of student famine community support division. i am very pleased to be joined this morning by sfpd partners, commander lazar and captain yolanda williams, who may be joining me in this because we have been partners in this presentation and in this work in the process of revising our m.o.u. this presentation and the status of the m.o.u. will include the following. i will share with you the opportunities that community members had to participate in the process of providing feedback and suggestions to revise the language. i will give you a sense of who attended the community meetings, i will share resources that we provided to c.b.o. partners and community members, i will share with you some of the most mentioned topics, feedback, and comments, and i will share with data that was -- it was requested to shared current arrest dated to give a sense of what is happening in our schools , and lastly, we will show some examples of some of the key areas in which we are proposing a new language. we held four community meetings that were facil

i know kevin truitt in the audience has it. >> i think we have 2300 african-american kids coming outt is the biggest number out of that 2300 that is african-american, and the biggest percentage. >> okay. >> i think he is look to -- looking it up. >> my second question is, you mentioned some things over here around disconnected services and sfusd has not yet identified and resourced -- you are just looking around for facilities. what facilities are in these programs right now? >> it was written in 2016 where we had a group called the african-american internal oversight committee. when we were talking about facility needs as it related to community schools, i know -- we had in mind willie brown junior 's campus and some of -- and also tenderloin elementary school where they have a dimple office embedded within the school campus, or students can receive services. there wasn't a specific itemized list of facilities, but i'm thinking about community schools and how it was acknowledging there were ways to upgrade facilities to better reflect the community school model. >> sure. >> and then

if i could invite kevin truitt, chief of our student family committee support division to come up for a very special presentation. >> thank you, deputy lee. i am the chief of student family community support, and this is the time of year where we honor and celebrate our students, and tonight is no exception. we have very, very special students in our midst who have given their -- an unbelievable amount of time to provide leadership to their school, to but to provide leadership on our board, and to provide leadership for the entire student advisory council. i don't know how this happens, with every year the student leadership in this district, and i have been doing this a long time, get stronger and stronger and stronger, and i'm more amazed each and every year. i really want to thank all your efforts, your time, your commitment, not just as a district, you make us look really good. this is what we put out. that's pretty good. but also, just your commitment to your education on top of it all. you are there to be the voice of your students, and i'm so proud of how you represent them. i

police accountability is here with materials so that -- one of the things they also want to say is kevin truitt is retiring if i am correct. who will take over this legacy of work now that he is leaving the school district? i am hoping this person is on board right now so can start transferring that work over. it is deep and it is a lot of history that we will lose when he leaves, you know, nothing against kevin, there were ups and downs around this, but we need to make sure that -- >> think he's a much. any other members of the public who wish to comment on this item please come forward. seeing then, public comment is closed. i just want to think members of the public for their patients today. i know we had a lot of presenters. this hearing was a number of months in the making, so i appreciate your patience. i also appreciate all the different departments that came out with my staff and supervisor walton staff to put this together. just to respect everybody's time , if we have any follow-up comments or questions, i just want to keep it about the m.o.u. i think there's a lot of things we could
