kevin whitelaw, what do we know? n: this is an estimate of the straight repeal, the delayed straight repeal bill that at this point senate republicans say they plan on voting on next week. everything is very in flux after meeting with the white house. there is some talk of reviving the bill that mcconnell was working on before that would have resulted in an additional 22 million uninsured. this was a version of bill that was passed by both chambers and vetoed by president obama in 2015 that would appeal the individual mandate, a bunch of the obama care taxes. it keeps some regulations in place. if it is passed and then they don't manage to produce a replacement bill within two years when the thing actually would kick in, then you would see additional 32 million people uninsured. you would supremums double within a decade and you would save potentially 3/4 of the country without any options in the individual markets according to this estimate from the c.b. o. emily: so, kevin, there are a lot of moving parts here. what

. ♪ emily: we are back with kevin whitelaw to talk about washington. start with what is going on with health care. what do you make of the president's speech and the likelihood republicans are going say?ed what he had to >> it is coming down to the wire. they are claiming to go ahead with a vote tomorrow to debate the bill. a lot of senators do not know what the bill is and which bill is the one they are intending to try to put forward. there is an option to do a repeal only that would be delayed repeal. they have been talking about a version of a replacement bill revised several times by mitch mcconnell that is still a work in progress. it is an unusually fluid situation for a senate usually seen as much more of a deliberative body. emily: what do you make a jared kushner's appearance today on , confirming contact and calling these unmemorable? >> this is sort of the beginning of what is likely to be a long process of public statements, not just from jared kushner, but other members of the trump administration and those associated with the campaign. p

kevine latest, kevi whitelaw joins us from washington. so many cbo scores, i can't keep track of them anymore. which one is this? what does it cover? what does it not cover? kevin: this is for the revised repeal and replace bill that mitch mcconnell release. and it doesn't at this point have the votes. but what -- there is a renewed, revived, slightly back from the debt negotiation going on right now, with the white house involved, republicans involved, trying to figure out if there is some way to add perhaps a little more money into the bill to try to win over some of the moderates who are worried about curbs. the medicaid cost mcconnell needed this analysis so that he knows how much money he has to play with before he starts offering extra funding for coverage. here, the cbo score is incomplete, it does not include cruz amendment, something conservatives have been wanted aiming to allow cheaper insurance plans. the new cbo score has another thing in it which is quite interesting, suggesting that deductibles in some of the various plans t

joe: joining us from washington is kevin whitelaw. es down do we know the republicans are? kevin: we know there are two republicans who say they will vote no on a procedural motion that republican leaders want to hold next week, which means they cannot lose anymore. if they lose a single republican, this gets stalled as well. there are still several withholding judgment, waiting to see what the cbo says next week, and they are still reading the bill, but some of them are going to be tough ticket to yes. joe: specifically, who are the republicans who are no's right now? kevin: we have rand paul from kentucky and suzanne collins from maine. endsare on the opposite for opposite reasons, but we are watching a number of other moderate senators and a couple can service with the potential -- a couple conservatives with the potential to be wildcards. scarlet: julia, you were talking about john mccain's statement. i can't tell if that means yes or no. julia: i feel like it is a soft know. kevin, we've got a bit of time before the canceled -- be
