you're looking right now at live images from our affiliate kfor. meteorologist jennifer gray joins us now live from the cnn weather center to talk about this breaking story. jennifer what are we looking at here? >> ominous skies in oklahoma for sure. that's caddo county. we were watching a couple of minutes ago what looked like a funnel cloud. you see it's broken up a little bit. that funnel cloud has lifted. but these are ominous-looking skies. we have an active tornado -- you see that funnel cloud in the middle of your screen -- those are earlier pictures. but that's a scary situation. if you are in caddo county in oklahoma find your safe spot get into your storm shelter if you have one. put as many walls as you can between you and the outside. there is that tornado warning. caddo county that's until 3:15 central time. for the next 15 minutes or so it is impacting cities of cement also cyril and it's moving to the northeast. oklahoma city needs to be on the lookout for this in the next hour or so. because this weather is not going to let up. well

you're looking at live pictures from kfor in south central oklahoma. two new tornado watches have just been issued. that is very large hail and more of it is on the way. severe thunderstorms and very large hail possibly tornadoes. if you're in that zone southwest kansas western oklahoma parts of northern texas as well you'll want to keep an eye on the sky for the next few hours through 9:00 p.m. that's when the warning goes through. even though the risk of destruction haslessened just a bit. this is norman oklahoma. tornadoes touch down. just a couple of days ago and it's been nothing short of miserable since then. heavy rain and flooding closed down the city streets. even the interstates there is where we find our ryan young. i've been looking around you. devastation. the last thing this area needs is to be hit again. >> reporter: they are been trying to clear this building here. the storm hit here a few days ago. we'll walk you over. you can see the power of the storm. it ripped the roof off this place. the folks who live on the inside said they had

we are looking live from our kfor chopper and you can see that we are seeing a major, major tornado on the ground. we're watching this. this is looking toward norman oklahoma. so they are going to continue to track this. and as we watch this we can also see there is damage -- this is selena kansas. you can see a major tornado on the ground there. no reports of damage. there were some trees uprooted, but thankfully no injuries. and so we are in for a very, very busy night. in fact right now we go to the radar and you can see this is the storm we're concerned about over norman. we have tornado warnings in effect. dangerous tornado on the ground. we'll continue to track this. we have the risk an enhanced risk of severe storms tonight from texas into oklahoma city into oklahoma and into kansas and nebraska. 9 million people at risk. dangerous tornadoes, damaging hail. we're also watching a system off the shore in the southeast. this could become our first tropical storm. there's a 60% chance this could be a storm into the weekend. upwards of 8 to 9 inches of rain. lester, we are going to b

look at these live pictures court see of kfor in oklahoma. get the latest from our meteorologist jennifer gray. she is joining us from the cnn severe weather center. what is the latest jennifer? >> we have a tornado emergency in effect right now that includes portions of moore, as well as oklahoma city. we have two boxes we are watching. the one on the north side is the tornado emergency. we do have a storm heading to the north and east will impact portions of oklahoma city as well as moore. we heard the airport is already evacuating. they are sending people to their emergency tunnel. portions of the interstate have been shut down due to debris on the road. this is a very dangerous situation. the one on the south side this is a warning. this includes norman new castle. this is an area that has seen destructive tornadoes. you mentioned 2013. remember 1999 the strongest tornado ever recorded on earth was in this area. this has a history of violent tornadoes. looks like we are seeing another one. we have reports of a large and dangerous tornado
