i think that's almost mirroring what the ayatollah khamenei iran's supreme leader, said a week ago.e gave a really touch speech in which he said iran has a number of red lines and we're not going to cross any of them. the red lines he laid out are things iran had already agreed to in switzerland on april 2nd. so it came as a big shock. does this mean iran will be backsliding. i'm told by u.s. negotiators that, in fact, in the negotiating room, iran has not been backsliding, but the ayatollah khamenei had to strong come out with a strong statement for public consumption. i think obama's doing something in the same way. he has to come out with a strong statement for capitol hill but for all of those people in the united states who may be suspicious of a deal not to mention israel, saying we're only going to take a very good deal and we're not going to accept any backtracking. that's what was at play. but i think it's important to notice there have been positive signs too. just today ayatollah khamenei tweeted a picture of his negotiating team dressed up in perfect white scientist jack
