here's kim brown with a look at traffic. >> well off the top we just want to let drivers and commuters know if you don't have to go out then you probably should stay in. with that said we've had a lot of people writing us at abc2 news saying they have to go to work. the roadways are passable at this time. the major ones anyway as long as you take your time, reduce your speed and drive with a lot of sense, but as megan pointed off if you can get to work fine. how are you going to get back home. that's something you may want to consider before you go to work. a blizzard warning will kick into mid afternoon and could get stuck where you are as you try to make your way back home later this evening. as we look at 95. visibility is getting worse. road conditions getting worse. plow may or may not hit the major roads depending on where you are or you can online get one pass, maybe two at the most. here we go with crashes. southbound on the harrisburg expressway pass bell fast road. we have an accident there florida that crash remains the scene. 50 westbound at -- that's going to be at route 4

now let's get the latest on the roads and here is kim brown. >> thanks, justin. overnight some folks may have thought they were catching break when they saw the snow turn into freezing rain but that's doing more of a disservice as far as the road conditions go because now we have a nice glaze of ice across the roadways. that's being buried underneath the snow coating which make it's really difficult to see those icy patches so where you may think you're driving through snow your tires won't get the traction you think you're getting so take your time, keep your speeds down and give yourselves lots of space between you and the drivers in front of you to give yourself plenty of time to brake. here we go with the crashes. not too many on the roadways. the volume is pretty much down than a regular commuter day. here in krofton davidsonville road shut down in both directions at newman way because of a bad crash. traffic is diverted to ryder road. take your time. as we look around the area roadways it's kind of hard to tell if they've been hit by a plow. some places may

here's kim brown. >> very messies with we do have light volume, fortunately that's making it extremely slow going, even on the major interstates. we're getting reports it's going to be kind of slow going through the fort worth mchenry tunnel. 95 the corridor between the beltways is running extremely slow because some of the roads have not been plowed so don't expect to go onto 695 or even 95 and expect to see all lanes open because that's certainly not the case as we're dealing with both a snow and ice event this morning. so here we go with the crashes. southbound on the harrisburg expressway, we have an accident there. in also good news in anne arundel county, davidsonville road now reopened at newman way. that earlier accident was reportedly involving anne arundel county fire crew so definitely keep that in mind. in anne arundel county though this is where it is coming in. in we have a crash again at route 450. howard county a crash in the westbound lane of route 100 at route 29. again you can make it out but you have to drive with a lot of caution, a lot of care. keep your speeds do
