consumer investigator kimberly suiters has a major development this week. kimberly: it really is. the f.d.a. warned consumers that certain implants may cause lymphoma, cancer of the immune system. take a look. when "7 on your side" first reported about the implant and the cancer in february, the f.d.a. would only say there was a possible association. they have evidence that the textured implants likely caused lymphoma. this woman said she was never warned before the reconstructive surgery there was a rare and increased risk to develop another cancer. >> people all the time say you chose the implants. i didn't choose cancer. neither time. i can guarantee you if i had a choice and i i was about to put in my body could give me cancer, that is a choice. kimberly: something to note. the french f.d.a. says there is a clear link between implant and lymphoma. the world health organization says it can develop. they are also pointing to textured implant rather than smooth is problematic. silicon or saline was not matter here.
