kimberly is right, it's a long way between now and the next election when the congress people will be up for a vote. so many things will happen between now and then. the economy will be on good terms or it won't. the pandemic will be over or it won't. there will be so many other things by the fall of 2022 to be arguing about. it's not certain that this will be a defining issue by that point. we'll see. lots of things can happen. i think one of the things you have to remember about this bill, it's really a three-part bill in some ways. it's covid relief, money for vaccinations and money for unemployment, then it's economic stimulus. what they're doing is pumping $1.9 trillion more into the economy. it's of course, money that's borrowed from our kids and grandkids, just like trump's tax cuts were in his first term. it's going to jolt the economy than trump's tax cuts. they were spaced out over ten years. this is all basically in the next year or two. it's an interesting result that is going to happen on the economy. does it get overheated, put it in good shape? we don't know. the policy

hockett thank you for being on the news hour kimberly these 4 countries have already been cooperating as we've said on and off for a number of years now what is washington and the biden administration hoping this summit will achieve. well it really comes down to 2 major themes and they both start to see kobe and china. obviously there is still a growing concern about what we're seeing is the disparity when it comes to wealthy nations of poor nations and the veil ability of vaccines and wealthy nations not so much for everyone else and so the united states under increasing pressure to not hold onto a surplus once all americans are vaccinated but instead to make sure that the global nations are also vaccinated so what we expect is coming out of this meeting there may be some sort of announcement potentially on some sort of global vaccine effort even ramping up production in india goals being set of possibly a 1000000000 vaccines by 2022 so we're watching carefully to see if that develops and on the issue of china as you mentioned the timing so significant because of course this meeting

joining me now is msnbc political analyst paul butler and kimberly atkins.- obviously, for being here. jury selection, again, resumes tomorrow. we know so far there are seven members of the jury who have been selected. three white men, one black man, one hispanic man, one multiracial woman, and one white woman. paul, you wrote for a column in the "washington post" the need for the chauvin trial to have black jurors given that the make up of the jury, as we see it now, are you -- what is your view of the jury? are you concerned -- are the concerns you have -- you wrote about in the column, are they being alleviated as the process goes forward? >> they're not. we have a jury now that is one person who identifies as black and five white persons. the jurors are asked questions about black lives matter that, to me, face the concern that honest answers are being used to keep people of color off the jury. so the jurors are asked whether minneapolis cops are more likely to use force against blacks, the factual answer is yes. blacks are 20% of the city's population a

what's the white house correspondent who be covering that hi kimberly. what. so much on joe biden's by immigration i can see gun control is going to be a big issue as well. yes all kinds of domestic as well and foreign policy questions are expected with respect to. immigration there's no question that that is going to be asked of the president given the fact that yesterday he tasked his vice president cobble harris with that issue there are questions about whether she may also be at this press conference to answer some of those questions but there's no doubt here in the united states that many people are scratching their heads wondering how if this is the more humane immigration policy the pictures are certainly not showing that on the southern border with mexico so that is one topic that is certainly going to be under scrutiny but also as well as a number of foreign policy issues there's going to be a question i'm sure about iran and what the effort is with respect to trying to get iran to comply under the j c p a way north korea has of course launched
