we are joined by kimberly crenshaw. thank you for joining us.k about the significance of dred scott's body lying down the road, the road we have heard so much about as the protest continued to escalate. when the supreme court was trying to decide whether african-americans could be citizens, what they consider was the way african-americans were treated. they were not looking at formal .aw the override deal -- the overall idea is they were not seen as having the same social worth as white americans. they could be enslaved for their own good. the possibility of their enslaved ability meant that, as far as the founders were concerned, they were going to be a stateless people. ,hat would have been the case had the case knowledge to a civil war. the second thing that is the only resident now is that the supreme court was trying to resolve a slavery issue once and slavery,y reinforcing by saying if you are white and your own slaves, you can do and travel and move anywhere you want with a slave because the constitution protects you. they were trying to

joining me now is the rapid response panel and social activist reverend marcia dyson and kimberly crenshawing of fire radio host and america's attorney mike papantonio. do you see the overpolicing of america getting worse? >> what's happening is a snapshot of this new militarized police culture that's sweeping through small towns particularly throughout the south, michael. what we're seeing is the average of the dixieland commando police force that at first appears to be a barney fife kind of humor except this it's so tragic. these militarized toys of war don't belong in the hands of police in a town with a population of 20,000 people and small town police forces shouldn't be encouraged or equipped to play dress-up in commando, ninja outfits and armed with bear cat, armored tactical war vehicles and helicopters and mine-resistant attack vehicles. this paramilitary equipment and this small town police organization of ferguson, they have no -- no reason to have this. all it it does is it escalates the tragedy that's always already taken place. most of these characters are not properly traine
