consumer investigators kimberly suiters says there is a growing concern a c linked to cancer. kimberly: the disease is called breast implant associated anaplatic large cell lymphoma. they call it a.l.c.l. for short. it's very rare and it can be deadly. when the f.d.a. first published information about the cancer in 2011, there were only 60 reported cases worldwide. today out of millions of women with breast implants the f.d.a. is aware of 258 confirmed a.c.a.l. cases, unconfirmed cases and 12 deaths. but the warning is not making it to women who might be at risk. breast cancer survivor raylene hollrah claims she was never warned that the textured implants she chose for reconstructive surgery in 2008 could give her cancer a second time. >> i was doing everything to keep cancer away. yet i put a device in my body that caused cancer. kimberly: in 2011, the f.d.a. identified association between breast implants a society of plastic surgeons developed a data base to track a.l.c.l. cases. it included the f.d.a. communication warning in the packaging for the products. but in 2013, when
