live in san francisco, kimberly tere, nbc, bay area news. >> thank you, kimberly. >>> in san jose, two people were injured when a fire broke out at an apartment complex early this morning. the fire also forced as many as 50 people to have to find somewhere else to sleep tonight. the three-alarm fire started around 1:15 at the complex on south king road near bowling green drive. firefighters saw heavy smoke and flames coming from the building when they arrived on the scene. in addition to the two people injured, firefighters actually rescued six people from the burning building and the red cross also stepped in to help. >> right now we have approximately 15 families that we are working with to provide food, shelter, clothing, medicine and emotional support. >> firefighters say most of the building is fine but a few of the units are heavily damaged. the cause of the fire is under investigation. >>> also in san jose there was another officer-involved shooting. police say an officer shot and injured an armed man at a hotel this morning. officers responded to reports of a man with a weapon

nbc bay area's kimberly tere is there with the very latest. kim. >> reporter: garvin, eastbound 580 has been shut down for seven hours now as investigators take a look at the accident that killed one man, possibly a member of the hells angels and put another behind bars. >> reporter: this is the aftermath of a deadly accident on eastbound 580 in san leandro. police say the driver of a paratransit van hit a motorcyclist and dragged his bike a mile before coming to a stop close to 150th avenue. the victim was ejected off of the motorcycle, went underneath the van, and then the van proceeded with the motorcycle to a further spot down the freeway. >> reporter: police are investigating this as a homicide and have arrested the driver of the van. they say they're looking into reports that an altercation led the van's driver to intentionally hit the man on the motorcycle, killing him. the victim, according to police, was riding in a group of hells angels and likely a member himself. the accident happened just before 4:00 saturday afternoon and forced
