nbc's kimberly tere has more. police released the suspect they have in custody.the 26-year-old and another man on the loose were involved in four armed robberies, a fatal shooting and gun battle with police. after the robberies, police say willbank an the second suspect went to a 7-eleven and shot a man during an attempted carjacking. the 22-year-old victim died in the parking lot where people have left flowers and notes in his memory. his friends who did not want their faces shown on camera told us he is a good person and a great friend who was in the wrong place at the wrong time and they hope police catch the second suspect and soon. san jose police were able to arrest the first suspect, 26-year-old willbanks on friday night after a pursuit and shootout with officers. >> there was a good old-fashioned gun battle going on in the middle of the intersection. >> during the exchange, with one officer suffered minor injuries and one gunman was shot. both took off in the car but crashed shortly after. willbanks ran to a nearby home sending the people inside fleeing.
