we're starting at kindergarten. as each grade goes up, we work with those cohorts. the dual immersion would have time spent in buildings and continue to move through the elementary level. at the middle school level, to create more opportunities for all students both -- both in the hit raese program and dual i o-lit rassey and immersion, they would be americaned into secondary programs. at the secondary level, it is stated this the plan, they receive two periods of primary language instruction. >> this is just a sample master schedule. if we were to have full imlimitation of a middle scol dual language program, there were concerns about how english learners would be receiving services through an immersion program but when it is combined dual language, you could see the master schedule, they would receive the core curriculum and in addition they would have the social science in the target language, also the language arts and the target language and english language development. this is building -- that's why -- at the last meeting, we talked about having some type of

are all students ready for kindergarten? we have many of our educators in our district that are working as we speak on developing what those metrics are going to look like for student readiness for kindergarten. we are going to look at fourth graders in terms of them being ready for middle school. we are going to look at english yards and math skills in the fourth grade. we want to make it clear what students should be able to do in the fourth grade. we are looking at middle school graduates ready for high school. english language arts and aljeb ra. at the high school level, are all of our high school graduates college-ready or career-ready? we have some exciting work that we are doing that we will bring to the board with our community partners. unions in our community that are just chomping at the bit to get involved with us and develop programs for our students. so our students meeting the requirements, and are they passing? what is the pass rate the k.c.? as i spoke to you about, on that trajectory, what is the success of

the district has agreed to begin teaching financial education as part of the kindergarten curriculum for the class rooms that have received the accounts. we are excited to see how that is rolling out. we think that can make an exciting difference in the children's academic experience. the way we are rolling out this program is we are phasing in in the first couple of years. in the very first year of the program, this year, we are opening up the accounts for about 25% of the incoming kindergartners, approximately 1200 accounts being opened in 18 elementary schools in san francisco. next year, we will double that, and open up about 2400 accounts, and in the third year of the program, we will open accounts for every incoming kindergartner in the san francisco public school district. we want to make sure this program is successful, and we want to make sure that its results are being evaluated. we have already received support. stanford university in the gates foundation and others, to help us be able to perform quality research and evaluation of both the outreach that is koran during our

public schools from kindergarten to higher education. there are thousand of new deal schools built within less than ten years. many have art work in or on them. this is berkeley high school. you shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free. the schools are always telling you that public education can make you better. it should be free. now, public education was fortunatate in california. just in time for them to move in. they build hundreds of schools. seismically safe schools. when you enter it, you go under a copper marquee. enter to learn. we are all this in together. the public service is a noble thing. this is a san francisco school that might be attractive to so eyes. it was a fire trap. they tore these down and replaced them. george washington. hollywood high school. they have english, latin and greek. this is a middle school in long beach. it wasn't centralized authority. they chose the architects. the main constraint is there had to be an engineer on site. there there is berkeley. and piedmont avenue in oakland. this i
