also northwest of prescott and east of the kingman area about to cross over interstate 40. we are seeing storms producing some lightning on moving to the north. mohave county, northwest arizona, keep an eye out for those storms. again, they could produce some drenching rainfall. along the rim we are seeing storms get going and you can see we have seen more of those storms in last 20 minutes popping up and we have got more across the white mountains and eastern portion of the rim. a lot of the storms could to the southeast watching a few storms trying to get going, some more in southeast arizona and now into the valley and central arizona. over the next few hours more storms could develop. we -- the chance will continue overnight. you will need to watch for the threat of blowing dust with any storms and of course a strong wind will be a possibility with any storms that develop. also, localized heavy rainfall, that threat is there and that means they could see some localized flooding this afternoon into the evening. as you head out to the football game watch for a few scatter

the kingman police were on scene at the home of jeffrey cave. they had a search warrant for cave's home.. which invovled a stolen gun. the officers were heavily armed and approached the door. once inside.. police say cave pointed and fired a gun at officers -- and that's when police did not hesitate and returned fire. detective dennis gilbert was hit. and as we said at the top of the show. he's in the hospital in serious condition.. another officer had a bullet pass through his clothing.. but somehow.. was not injured.
