. >> commissioner kingsley? >> i would like to also schedule on the april third, meeting the scheduling resolution. commissioner turm an and i have been working with the city attorney katie porter for the last several months and we have received report from director hicks and the department on that and we are getting it into a format to be able to be able to be discussed by the commission as a whole. and just kind of as a heads up on this, when you receive the document, you know, the commission has a number of mandates on it. you know, for its responsibilities and activities and they come from many different directions. and this resolution is an attempt to organize that bring it together for us to assess that and update it for 2013, with how we think that we should go forward. you know, on our many responsibilities and activities. those that we have can control that are resolution based and also to provide a road map not only for us, on an annual basis, but also for new incoming secretaries of the commission, as

>> commissioner kingsley? >> thank you very much for your really fabulous presentation tonight. you are off to a great start and you obviously have a really good rapport with the community already and there is a lot of confidence in you. i was particularly struck by your mode of prevention, prevention of violence tonight. that is absolutely terrific and it is great that you came prepared with the statements and you know, with tips and telephone numbers and so on. so, you know, numbers up to you and applaud you for all of that. i just have a couple of questions. one is around the auto theft, you have a sense for whether or not the majority are occurring as the result of just a few people that are well-organized and have, you know, particularly mo. or is it you know just a rash of isolated incidents? i mean what is your sense around that? >> my sense is that it is not a rash of isolated incidents. they are not necessarily criminals that are very well organized. generally, we found that auto break-ins and burglaries are often related to someone who has some chemical addiction, they

joining us now is inspirational speaker jeremy kingsley. good morning jeremy.hanks for coming in this morning. >> thank you. >> this is such a great topic. we all want to get to the next step in our career make more money and be more successful. you have tips. the first is get connected to the high level executive. >> this is can a challenge depending on where you work. be persistent. have interaction with someone. maybe you catch them after a meeting walking down the hallway. you can be a little aggressive show some initiatives when you get that meeting it might take a few times that's when you want to ask the opportunity to see if someone would mentor you. not would i mary you or would they mentor you. i can speak from personal experience. i asked a president from my alma mater mentor me. i called him once a month for 10 straight months the following year he mentored me. it was life changing career changing but you need to be persiste persistent. >> persistence works. you went right to the top with the president of the school. >> your next one is set specific
