it's still a very light but eady rain falling here in k kinston and the water is still rising in this area. that's makingnt tough people to try to get back to their homes because you have all kinds of deb flowing through the water. you even have exploding colonies of fire ants, if you can believe that. so is too dark to get out there right now. but i was able to get a slightly perspective. take a look. >> i had to do this while i still had some daylight left to be safe a to be able to see where i'm actually going. but this gives yn idea of exactly how high the water is rising he. i'm in the neuse river. i'm 6 feet tall. look at thi stop sign. there's a kid's park right over there where the slides are literally going right into the water. the incredibly high a thing about this, this isn't even the high point. it's not supposed to crest until the end of the week and that's going to be at abo 25 feet. >> that would be 2 or 3 feet less of the record highs. a you can g look at how bad it is in some areas here. this is the water rising throughout the week another couple of feet. we'll stay
