i'm kira klapper. vianey arana has a look at that gorgeous microclimate forecast for us. >> as you mentioned, you're going to valuate of words, i hope. >> yes. >> that will include beautiful, sun. all the good stuff, because it's going to be very nice. we're also warming up a few degrees compared to yesterday. look at that dense fog along the peninsula. half moon bay seeing dense fog. i promise, there's a shot behind that. 50 degrees. south bay 52, tritaf-valley 52,d north bay cooler at 43 degrees, but we are expecting a nice little warm-up. here's a look now at that doppler radar. we can just mainly see right now a lot of cloud cover coming offshore. we did see that storm system kind of sink off to the pacific northwest and high pressure dominating over the area pushing all that rain further north leaving us a very dry weekend ahead. a quick check of what you can expect in terms of the next couple hours. we will be warming up very nicely into the upper 60s. it along the coastline, 70s for areas inland

i'm kira klapper. my friend rob mayeda is here. >> good to be here. >> great to see you.y tv last night. so thank you for joining us so early this morning. >> you bet. >> a look at our microclimate forecast? >> not as much rain last night as we're seeing right now. still lingering showers passing through the bay at this hour. around san jose, showers south of downtown. 54 degrees right now. san francisco, you can see a little clearing there as the sky is starting to lighten up just before sunrise. 54. you see on the tomorrow ranger mobile doppler radar things have quieted down around san francisco. there are the showers passing to the south. looks like the valley moving south, trend on the radar, showers starting to leave the bay area, but the clouds off to the west means that sunday we'll be dealing with a little more rain. today, partly cloudy skies for the afternoon. highs in the low to mid-60s, but going through tomorrow, we'll see clouds on the increase starting this evening beginning to see clouds making a comeback. the drier of the two weekend days. then tomorrow,

i'm kira klapper. meteorologist rob mayeda joins us with our microclimate forecast. you have a lot going on. >> all sorts of conditions, clearing in san francisco. patchy, dense fog in napa, outside towards hillsberg. a tour along the coast. half moon bay, there's a nice inspirational start to the morning. piller point looki pillar point, and ocean beach, 53. san jose, stuck in the clouds. you can see there. 53 degrees. still a few showers trying to clear out of the south bay. you see cloud cover for areas basically south of the san mateo bridge this morning. off to the west, though, is a lot more cloud cover as we head into sunday we will see a little more rain here to wrap up the weekend. so a quick view of what we're expecting going into tomorrow. notice the rainfall map here. blue and green means generally less than one-third inch to a quarter inch of rain. see the maps, red and purple, meaning two to three inches of rain with the storms. not as much rain but timing impact the second half of the weekend. we'll show you more coming up in about 15 minutes from now.

i'm kira klapper and a look at our microclimate forecast and we had a nice break and the rain is returningt going to be heavy and we're not expecting a lot of it. so, that's the plus side to it all. we are expecting scattered showers throughout the day. if you had any birthday parties and plan to be outside, pick up a tent on your way home or run some errands, do it now. south bay now at 49 degrees and peninsula 48 and tri-valley 46 degrees. still chilly and definitely overcast. san francisco 51 north bay. expect to see scattered showers moving in over the next half hour to an hour. we are going to see the scattered showers stick to the north bay through the early morning lunch hour. now, the peninsula area pacific could start seeing some showers at 8:30 and then as far as the south bay goes, it will move in later this evening. but at least over the next couple of hours, we are expecting to warm up ahead of a cold front. as that cold front sweeps in tonight, we are expecting a pretty big drop in the temperatures for today and tomorrow, as well. look at the overcast skies in san francisco.
